Reveal Yourself!!

Today has been a tiring and frustrating day for me, and probably one big joke to someone else. First of all, apparently its a HUGE mistake to post your cell phone number in your facebook status. I did this after re-activating my cell phone and I think that it led to mysterious texter today.

I replied to a text message at 5am this morning. When I replied I told the person I couldn't understand their text message because it was in french and I asked who the person was. They claimed to be a Marie-eve Cadieux. I knew right off the bat that it was some friends playing a joke on me, because Marie-eve sounds like a fake name and who responds to a text message sent at 5am in the morning!! Even though I knew it was some friends playing a joke on me so I played along for a while, and then I asked who the person really was. This is where it began to get frustrating they just started claiming all these things that make for very awkward situations, and when they started doing that it became even more obvious that this was a friend playing a joke on me. I continued to tell the person that I knew they weren't who they claimed to be, but they continued to lead on that their name was "marie-eve"(it's such a fake name).

This is where my day began to get frustrating. They started bluffing and telling me to call them and they would talk to me in French and I would realize that they were who they said they were. Of course I didn't give in to the demand and call the person. That would have meant that I believed the prank caller if I had called. Then they asked if I wanted them to call me, and I told them I don't need you to call me because I know that you're not who you say you are. If I asked them to call me they also would have won because I would have shown that I believed them. So at this point I started texting and calling a lot of friends to try and figure out who uses the number that was calling me. Nobody seemed to know and I wasn't able to find out. My new strategy is to ignore any demands from the unidentified person and wait until they reveal themselve. Its a bit of a game of chicken but i've seen this strategy used on shows like criminal minds, and the negotiator. When the hostil phones(or sends some kind of message) they wait before responding to let them know who is control. I think this will work, and the texter will reveal him/herself soon enough.

As payback I'd like to post this persons phone number and encourage any misrepresentations of you who are when texting. 613-720-7525. If anybody recognizes this number please contact me and let me know goes by the alias "marie-eve".

I know lent is starting and I just wanted to let people I will be taking suggestions on what to give up for lent. I'll give up whatever the most people suggest, or whatever sounds like the best idea if everybody has different suggestions.

United

Well its been a while so here's my new update for the blog,

A lot has happened since the last time I posted anything, I went to a coldplay concert that was absolutely amazing. A lot of people say that there music sounds dull and boring and that's why they don't like it, but Coldplay was so energetic during the concert Chris Martin was going nuts and you could really just feel the Energy at the concert. There guitarist kinda inspired me too to get my grove on a bit more during concerts and really just loosen up. So I'm trying to forget about being nervous or anything during concerts now.

Then the band had a concert in Lindsay which was pretty awesome considering the size of Lindsay. Going to Lindsay at the beginning of the weekend was kinda cool I got to stop along parts of a highway I never usually would just because the shadow kept stalling. For the Saturday night worship there we're lots of youth and also some older people which was awesome that they support the youth so much. By the end of that weekend I was wiped and stressed a bit.

Just last weekend though I went to Toronto with Ryan and Mark for a united concert which was amazing. The drive was good except for the beginning with like snow/rain/hail/wind. The concert was absolutely amazing they played a bunch of stuff from the new album and some older stuff. There was over 5 thousand people in this massive church in Toronto too and I think united did a pretty good job of keeping the worship real. I stay at marks house for the weekend which was awesome. And for church the next Sunday.. Wow it seemed toned down but I think anything would after the united concert.

Anyhow I'm headed out to some night school now, I'll try and make another update soon.

blind date

Well it has been a while since i updated my blog so here it is.

Alot of stuff has happened since my last blogg, so i wonn't bother tto mention all the minor stuff. The oter week we went skiing with the church which was pretty cool except it was on a saturday so we had to stand in pretty big lines. I've been managing to keep myself busy during my days, they actually go by pretty fast when sleep in through half of them. I've still been applying everywhere for jobs, i think that after march breaqk i'll make one last big push with putting my resumes arund, but it is almost good that i have all this time off because it gives me alot of chance to practice my trombone. The past 2 dsays i've practiced it for like 2 hours so hopefully that will be able to continue.

The other wweek rory was up and visiting so that was pretty cool to see him again. and apparently the divisional youth choir from somewhere around london ontario is coming to ottawa but we'eve heard absolutely nothing aboutit here in ottawa yet.

Just last night we had a band practice preparing for lindsay and youth councils and on our way back to joel and marks aapartment of course the shadow stalls andd won't start. It was the begining of a looong night. So we just had to leave the shadow sitting around overnigght and we all went back to the apartment just chilling aand i think this is one of the first times i've been there overnight without playing poker once. So we watched a bit of roadtrip and cooyote ugly(great movie). After the movies we started watching "blind date" who are those people !??? the people on the show are nuts. I think that the producers are like lets put 2 people together that have aabsolutely nothing in common. I mean watching some of the dates waas kinda brutal you almost felt embarassed for the people on the show, no conversation between them or anything. I think blind dates are just a bad idea they lead to awkward silence, u want to go home, and people can be complete opposites. Anyways so last night we must have watched like at least 4 episodes in a row, i don't think i will be watching that for a loooooooong time, i hope not anywayz.

So if this blog wasn't thaat great its because i'm still amazingly wiped out from staying up till 7 watching blind date and then ridiculous cartoons on early in the morning.... Te blog hting is alot to live up to, people just demand more and more blogs, i was never smeone who liked ot keep a journal or anything so this is a pretty big step for me. Like right nnow it is a beautiful day outside but i'm in here writing this becaause you people are sooo demanding !!! anywayz hopefully this will satisfy all of you. If theres spelling errors i'm not editing it so try and read through it if possible.

Here's the new blog!!!

Wow, I didn't think that many people would actually be reading my blog, sweet now I have to try and make my life seem super interesting... Well where to start,

All the free time I was so happy to be talking about in my last blog just flies by, today I slept in till like 11, and I hardly ever sleep in that late unless I'm at Joel and marks. I have gotten to do things that I would never usually do like a take out a book from a library(its a poker book so hopefully it will help me with my brutal lack of skills) and I made cookies. The cookies were a bad idea because I got the idea to put oreo crumbs in so they went black and in the oven I couldn't tell when they were done because they were just black all the time. One day to make time fly by I even cleaned the basement a bit. Anyhow that's just an example of how you can waste ur day away.

I have still been looking for a job but have been unsuccessful. I can't count how many resumes I have put out. I got my marks for school and I'm all applied to night school. Now some of the stuff I haven't been doing is a lot of the stuff I said I would do in my last blog so hopefully people won't kill me with the comments. One morning I decided the best time to read the big book would be in the morning, I got up and couldn't find it woooooooow, I lost my bible everyone. I have been practicing my trombone a bit not as much as I should though.

Anyhow I felt like I should really write this blog, not because it felt like it was the right thing to do or I should, but because so many people have been telling me too!! gaah! What have I gotten myself into. If this blog hasn't been interesting its because the time is like 2:50 am. I had to open a can whoop butt in ping pong tonite I killed, winning is tough, LOL ok now I need to go to bed. Until next time...

good night

New Oppurtunities

hey everybody,

Well i've finally decided to give in to the blog fad for a while. Some of you may know soon i'll be done highschool for good. This is my final week and on friday i will be done my exams. This past weekend was a awsome oppurtunity to worship and see good friends from camp. I never realized how fortunate i am to be able to have the oppurtunities to do the ministry with read letters. Since i've been in readletters i have been going to more youth events in the Salvation army then i ever dreamed of. This past weekend we played in scarborough friday and had a great time of worship with Christian friends and the band played really well. Alot of the songs we played were new to some of us(me), but i think we really pulled through and made the most of this oppurtunity to worship. After Scarbborough ended at around 11, we started our drive to Circle Square Ranch. At the Ranch it was more toned down partially because it was smaller and if we hadn't we would have all gone deaf in the hall. During the Worship on saturday evening i Think hearts were touched and decisions were made. It was great to see the younger youth of oshawa and belleville worshiping freely too even surrounded by the pressure of friends and opinions. Overall the Band played great , and had fun.

I've been thinking about once i'm done my exams i will have a ton of free time on my hands until i get a job. There are a few things i hope to during my long days of free time, i want to try and read my bible, to be honest i don't read it at all and i can't remeber the last time i did maybe during church. I also want to practice music alot with my trombone, guitar, and i'm going to be trying to learn keyboard a bit since i got a midi controller for christmas. It sounds like it would be easy to do all these things but i get easily distracted but i'm hoping with all this time off i'll have time to get distracted and fit everything into my day. P.s and keep this blog updated.

Anyhow wish me luck for my exams tommorow and hopefully i can stay true to keeping this schedule(and this blog)
